Kennel Office & Operations Manager

McKenzie was born into a family passionate about retrievers, growing up at Y-Farms. Her journey with retrievers began early, with her first hunt test at the Louisiana HRC International Grand in 2002.

At Y-Farms, McKenzie didn’t just watch from the sidelines. She learned hands-on by helping her mom care for Lab puppies in the whelping box. Summers and after school, she lent a hand at the boarding kennel and assisted with obedience and retriever training.

After graduating from high school, McKenzie pursued a bachelor’s degree in psychology at LSU. Despite excelling academically, her passion for Y-Farms never waned. After completing her degree and marrying her long-time boyfriend, Blake, McKenzie’s dedication to continuing her mother’s legacy at Y-Farms, and ensuring its continued growth and success, is a decision she made wholeheartedly. With her innovative ideas and proficiency in office management and customer service, McKenzie has become an integral contributor to Y-Farms’ ongoing expansion and prosperity.
When Kenzie isn’t at the kennel, she adores spending quality time with her two small pups, Sophie and Shiloh. Kenzie and Blake share a passion for traveling and often enjoy duck hunting expeditions with their beloved Labrador Retriever, Melly.
