Meet Our Crew

At Y-Farms, our crew is a big part of what makes our kennel feel like home. From caring for boarding guests to helping with day camp, training, spa services, and daily routines, our team works hard to make sure every dog receives attention, care, and kindness.

We are proud of the people who help keep Y-Farms running every day.

Our Team

Jennifer

Jennifer

Founder & Owner

As founder of Y-Farms, Jennifer remains actively involved in nearly every aspect of the business. She oversees management staff, leads marketing efforts, manages website development, and continually looks for new ways to improve and grow the kennel while staying true to the values on which Y-Farms was built.

Alongside her husband, Brad, Jennifer helps plan future retriever breedings, raises each litter, and remains hands-on with every puppy. She also travels extensively with Brad to retriever field trials and hunt tests, where she enjoys photographing Y-Farms dogs in action and documenting their accomplishments.

Jennifer’s vision, dedication, and commitment to family, quality care, and excellence have helped shape Y-Farms into what it is today.

Erin

Erin

Assistant Manager

Erin joined the Y-Farms team at just 16 years old and has grown up alongside our kennel throughout her high school years. Her strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn quickly set her apart.

Now a high school graduate, Erin has stepped into a full-time role as our Assistant Manager, where she helps keep daily operations running smoothly. She has a natural connection with the dogs, a positive attitude, and a warm personality that both our clients and team members appreciate.

We are incredibly proud of Erin’s growth and excited to have her as part of the future of Y-Farms.

McKenzie

McKenzie

Business & Finance Manager

McKenzie grew up at Y-Farms, where her love for Labrador Retrievers began early. She spent her childhood helping with litters, kennel care, training, and the daily operations of the family business.

After earning her Psychology degree from LSU and marrying her husband, Blake, McKenzie returned to Y-Farms full-time. She has helped improve policies, streamline programs, and strengthen client communication.

Today, McKenzie represents the second generation of Y-Farms, and with the arrival of her son, Everett, the family is excited to welcome the third generation into a legacy built on dogs, family, and hard work.

Krista

Krista

Operations & Training Manager

Krista joined Y-Farms in 2019, bringing a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and a natural talent for dog training.

Krista oversees our dog training program, manages employees, coordinates facility projects, and helps ensure the daily operations of the kennel run smoothly.

Over the years, Krista has become much more than an employee — she has become family. Her loyalty, support, and commitment to Y-Farms mean so much to us.
