volumes. He combines outstanding talent and drive in the field
with the calm, affectionate temperament of a devoted family dog.
Willie is an exceptional retriever whose accomplishments speak
volumes.
Owned by David Brewerton, he earned his third Grand Pass as a
3-year-old—an impressive and rare milestone in the retriever world.
Willie’s success began early. By just two years old, he had already
earned his UKC Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title, passed the
Spring Grand, achieved his AKC Master Hunter (MH) title, and qualified
for the Master National.
His remarkable drive, intelligence, and consistency in the field
have made him a true standout.
Beyond the titles, Willie is the definition of a well-rounded dog.
From puppyhood, he demonstrated an eagerness to learn, house-training
quickly and proving to be an outstanding companion long before
beginning formal retriever training with Chuck McCall at Chumac
Kennels.
He possesses an exceptional on/off switch, living calmly indoors as
a devoted family dog while transforming into a focused, driven
performer in the field.
Willie hunts approximately 40 days each duck season and most recently
picked up 85 teal during the 2025 season.
He represents the ideal balance of talent, temperament, and
trainability—a dog who excels at the highest levels while remaining
a loyal and loving family companion.
